The Playground, An Improv Event for the Whole Family

School’s out for the weekend, time to go to the Playground! The Playground offers a brief, fun improv workshop for families, followed by a kid-centered family friendly improv show and improv jam. At 4 pm, any families that would like to perform in our Family Improv Jam can join us for a workshop to try some improv warm ups and learn a few short-form games. No registration is necessary. The workshop will be geared toward ages 9 and above, but younger children will be welcomed in. At 5 pm, two teams from schools in Maryland will be featured performing improv on the BIG stage. The Playground wraps up with our Family Improv Jam. Any families that want to perform together on the BIG stage and participated in our workshop will have their name pulled from a hat to perform one of the short form games learned during the workshop.
